Nicklas Lund is a Danish-born center back who developed through the German youth system, spending time with FC St. Pauli and Hamburger SV before making the move to the U.S. to play college soccer at Oregon State. At Oregon State, Lund quickly became a consistent presence in the back line, starting nearly every match across four seasons and totaling over 70 appearances. He played a key role in the program's success, helping lead the Beavers to multiple NCAA Tournament runs, including a College Cup semifinal in 2023, while earning All-WCC First Team and All-District honors along the way. Following his collegiate career, Lund signed his first professional contract with Portland Timbers 2, continuing his progression into the pro game.
